A few days ago, I mentioned an article from The News & Observer of Raleigh, N.C. in which a chef talked about the use of local seafood at the Sanitary Restaurant in Morehead City, N.C. Today’s N&O has a correction to the article I quoted. The owner says the restaurant’s shrimp comes from domestic waters and the crab is both domestic and imported.

I’m glad to correct the facts of the article I quoted, but my point still stands: Know where your food comes from, and support local producers.
